From sky to steel: In an extraordinary feat, Sean MacCormac, a skysurfing pioneer, two-time X Games medalist, and Red Bull athlete, teamed up with Prada Linea Rossa to skydive from 1676.4 meters (5500 feet) and become the first person to skysurf onto the cables of the iconic San Francisco Bay Bridge.

Equal parts engineering and audacity, surfing along the bridge was not just about adrenaline or simply pushing the limits of human experience, but about completely flipping it on its head, and looking good while doing it.

Not just a stunt, but a vision realized, MacCormac states, “This project brings a dream to life. In my profession, I have the benefit of seeing some of the world’s most amazing architecture from different perspectives, and I’ve often found myself daydreaming about what might be possible. To be able to slide along the cables of the iconic Bay Bridge brings this vision to life – it’s incredible being part of the full team effort to make this project a reality, from the collaboration with Prada Linea Rossa and board design with the Luna Rossa team to the countless hours of training, repetition and preparation that made us ready for this moment.”

High fashion met high stakes when the Prada Linea Rossa and the Luna Rossa team collaborated to create an exclusive, high-tech board tailored to handle such a complex maneuver. Built with careful precision and meticulous attention to detail, the board features a honeycomb core with layers of carbon fiber for razor-sharp control, a polyethylene base to withstand the wear from the Bay Bridge cables. It is finished with painted graphic designs instead of adhesives, preserving both durability and style.

This triumph reminds us that challenges that may appear insurmountable can be achieved if one is daring enough to believe in their skill. What would you dare to conquer if nothing was out of reach?
