For the eighteenth collection of Palomo, Alejandro Gómez Palomo’s eponymous brand is moving from a small southern town to Madrid, the big city. There comes a moment in every teenager’s life when the desire to abandon the comforts of youth becomes inescapable. As the first trial of adulthood commences, a transition takes place. Paloma’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection “Eighteen,” celebrates this fleeting moment for the brand with an assortment of pieces that combine the soft, innocence of youth with the radical attitude of a young adult coming of age.

The runway presentation took place at The Palace Hotel as a part of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week series. The Palace serves as the idealized, “outside world” so sensational that it inspires living with reckless abandonment. Whimsical hats designed by Vivas Carrión decorate the looks with sophisticated textures.

Parting from his more dramatic style while remaining genderless, this collection elaborates on wearable silhouettes with an attention to detail: disruptive cuts, lace bloomers and adorned floral designs created in another collaboration with Swarovski.

The collection demonstrates the complexities of abandoning adolescence by creating a dialogue between what was and what could be. Palomo’s “Eighteen” reaches the edge of adolescence, actively taking a leap of faith into oblivion.
