German luxury fashion house MCM gears up their Spring-Summer 2023 campaign by partnering with Sony- specifically FILTR, Sony’s music platform, to create “A FILTR Take.” The collaboration nods to MCM’s long-standing roots in finding inspiration and importance in music, taking them back to their founding in 1976 during the discotheque and rock-n-roll eras. The Spring/Summer 2023 collection references the natural world with cyberpunk aesthetics in three different capsules: Meta Safari, Cyberpunk, and Meta Ocean. MCM and singer-songwriter Tate McRae work together to create two full-length performances showcased between two episodes, practicing storytelling through fashion and music.
Episode one debuted on Jan. 19, with McRae performing “she’s all i wanna be” her current chart-climbing hit. The episode features Tate wearing MCM’s Plisse Skirt, Intarsia Knit Top, Aren Backpack, a new Monogram Denim Jacquard range including Brandenburg Backpack, and MCM’s München Tote. Episode two will launch on Feb. 16, with McRae presenting her latest single “uh oh.” In this performance she can be seen in the Cyberpunk Blazer, Mode Trivia Shoulder Bag, and Mode Travia Tote.
