‍Dame Pat McGrath, DBE has seeded her new ties with Louis Vuitton as Creative Director of Cosmetics with their highly anticipated make-up launch, La Beauté. The first installment of La Beauté will feature not only signature shades of lipsticks, lip balms, and eyeshadows, but an assortment of stunning casings, lipstick holders and a Vanity Trunk. 

McGrath is all about intention. Through her own line of cosmetics, PAT MCGRATH LABS and beyond, McGrath has a grip on the world of cosmetics that will seamlessly blend into the fashion industry.

The new collection with the Maison is a call on the centuries-old archives of Louis Vuitton, a reckoning with the archive that validates the need to maintain its legacy. McGrath’s nearly thirty years within the make-up industry make her best fit to uphold the legacy of LV through a fresh set of eyes, one that sees the capacity to befriend fashion’s longtime neighbor: cosmetics. The first launch will come with a limited edition run of Lipstick Pouches and Nice Beauty Cases in three shades significant to the collection: Monogram Rouge, Rouge Louis and Tender Bliss. 

Conceived by German furniture designer Konstantin Grcic, the products that hold the make-up in the collection carry the same elegance as the products themselves. Disposability is lost on the design of this new collection– its permanence speaks to the lasting cultural presence of the Maison. In the age of La Beauté, beauty is an expressive practice. The launch features LV ROUGE, an astounding 55-shade lipstick collection to wear on any occasion, a reflection of the expansive nature of both McGrath and the Maison’s vision. The lipsticks in the collection are infused with ingredients of natural beauty like mimosa, jasmine, and rose, while the lip balms are scented with a rich mint and raspberry.
