As a token to the 1990s cereal box athletes, Louis Vuitton’s Menswear Creative Director Pharrell Williams has designed a retro yet technologically savvy sneaker. Debuted in their Men’s Fall-Winter 2026 show, the LV Drop 300 Sneaker carries a vintage, nostalgic feel fusing neutrals, primary colors, and the classic LV logo.
Mimicking the runner-style shoe of the 90s, Williams coined the name by way of emphasizing the sneaker’s shockingly light weight. The shoes weight comes marginally close to 300 grams. Upholding Louis Vuitton’s promise of luxury, the sneaker’s material makeup boasts water-resistant nylon, suede calf leather, python, as well as LV’s own Silk Tech Nylon which is nearly an equal parts blend of silk and recycled nylon, resulting in a water-repellant, lightweight, and supportive shoe.
Many may see buying a pair of sneakers with a luxury price tag as blasphemous, but Pharrell Williams seeks to change that. Long inspired by the cross-section of fashion and activewear, the menswear creative director has produced a shock-absorbing and agility-prone sneaker designed for those looking for support through a busy day while sporting a sophisticated retro style.
