After entering their centennial year this year, Fendi honors the familial essence of the brand as Silvia Venturini Fendi immerses us into her earliest memories existing within the fashion house. This collection represents the original story of the brand with Venturini Fendi paying homage to her grandparents, Edoardo Fendi and Adele Casagrande Fendi, who founded the brand in Rome in 1925. It was the pair's five daughters who nurtured FENDI to the household name it is today. Inspired by the FENDI boutique and atelier on Via Borgognona in Rome, this campaign offers a warm, inviting, and familiar feel, almost as if it took place inside the FENDI home—coveted and full of tradition.

The collection pieces themselves celebrate the notability of FENDI and how it relates to the culture of Rome. In the essence of the birth of the brand, Venturini Fendi is sure to focus on the sartorial fits of the pieces, even if not directly in the form of professional wear. FENDI represents the glamour and luxury in everyday pieces and the sophistication of Italian wear. The tones of the collection are intended by Venturini Fendi to mimic the dreamy hues of Rome at dusk, consisting of buttery creams and terracottas, coupled with petrol blue and dusty rose—the muted colors of everyday life.

Silvia Venturini Fendi never intended to revisit archival pieces for the centennial celebration, as she strives to encapsulate the general impact of FENDI over its five successful generations. The vast variety of fabrics in the collection encompasses the duality of the past one hundred years, highlighting the synthesis of textures such as boiled wool with lingerie dresses, and thick trench coats paired with thin scarves. Visually, this collection showcases the FENDI touch in almost every aspect of textures and fabrics. From the glossy satins to the ribbed knit dresses, the collection beautifully pairs the history and culture of Italian wear with the modernity of elegance today.
