Boucheron’s latest capsule, Quatre Sand 2025, emanates from genuine black sand and a profound commitment to innovation. Today’s launch reimagines the house’s timeless Quatre collection, including seven black and gold pieces.
Creative Director Claire Choisne is not one to shy away from a challenge. She turned to a 3D sand-printing technique used in the automotive industry, where a binder sprayed with the precision of a renowned french pastry chef, connects grains of sand together. The resulting material is durable and retains the sand’s organic texture. The classic clou de paris pattern adorns four cuffs of various sizes, and four additional gold brushed bangles comprise the capsule.
The Quatre Sand capsule is not Choisne’s first venture into using sand as a precious material. Sand from the Thar desert adorned the bleu de jodhpur collection, and the 2024 carte blanche collection debuted Boucheron’s affinity for black sand. In 2020, Choisne began creating the house’s Innovation Capsules, linking denim with diamonds and introducing a pioneering holographic coating. Boucheron’s willingness to experiment and take risks is what allows the brand to break through the noise. High contrast and bold, the Quatre Sand 2025 capsule demonstrates the maison’s visionary spirit.
