Veuve Clicquot, the sun-kissed company in constant pursuit of inspiring optimism, joy, and camaraderie, is releasing a new chapter, Chasing the Sun, just in time for Milan Design Week. Since 1877, Veuve Clicquot has focused its identity on bold creativity and the concept of “embracing the sun”, materially highlighted by the signature Clicquot Yellow featured on the Maison’s labels since day one. Working with the Maison, British Nigerian multi-disciplinary artist and designer, Yinka Ilori MBE, released Chasing the Sun, merging his expertise in architecture, sculpture, interior, and graphic design with bolder and encouraging techniques.
In his own imaginative universe, IIori uses visual storytelling to create a world enveloping colorful narratives, including re-envisioned stars and naturally-inspired symbols of human connection. IIori’s words, “In this world, you are the sun that you chase”, symbolize the message of Chasing the Sun, in the quest for finding the warmth within kinship, and how humans are intertwined through light.

One of the collection pieces, the Sun Holder, is a reimagined champagne bucket that emulates the calabash shape through more modern and nomadic methods. In continuation of Veuve Clicquot’s sustainability-forward approaches, the Sun Holder is created entirely from upcycled materials using 3D knitting technology, and garnished with sun-embraced hands. This piece embraces and inspires the value of sharing, with the convenience of keeping bottles fresh for 90 minutes.

With an immersive installation during Milan Design Week, Veuve Clicquot is launching Chasing the Sun from April 21 through April 26, 2026, unifying the artistic visions of Yinka Ilori and the Maison’s endeavor to embrace positivity and joy.
