Unveiling in New York City, Dior partners with UBS House of Craft in an intersection of parallel luxuries. Centered around the fashion legacy that Dior has paved, UBS House of Craft taps into an art form outside of their usual. With this being a novel business venture for UBS, they’re looking to dive into the world of couture, horology, and gastronomy. Giving their clients access to some of the most upper-echelon brands and experiences, outside of their top-tier banking services.
In this specific exhibition, world-renowned fashion legend Carine Roitfeld has curated an installation consisting of iconic archival designs from each creative director who served at Dior—a seemingly impossible task. With the House birthing a couture staple for the modern age of fashion, this brand has been home to some of the most monumental icons. Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferré, John Galliano, Raf Simons, and Maria Grazia Chiuri have all served as creative directors for the House, with a special tribute to Kim Jones. Each being an undeniable legend for their own namesake careers, these creatives have pioneered the world of couture and how it relates to the cultural zeitgeist of the last 80 years.
This exhibition was born in tandem with both Carine Roitfeld and photographer Brigitte Niedermair, a long-time collaborator of Dior who has had an equal impact on the brand’s history over the last almost 30 years. Bearing witness to some of the biggest turning points of the House’s career, Niedermair is the perfect choice for this visual walkthrough exhibition. Shaping and building the very definition of the word “couture”, this installation stops time to immerse us in the creative process and impact of the many who shaped Dior to be what it is today.
UBS House of Craft x Dior will open to the public on June 6, 2025, through June 8 at 28 Pine Street in New York City.
