Art and design are not simply beautiful creations to rest our eyes on; they are cultural elements that tell a story and elevate a space. At The Luxury Collection, each hotel and resort is deeply rooted in a narrative that uniquely integrates art and design into every experience. With over 130 locations spanning over 40 countries, each property is an individual expression and reflection of its locale.

At the newly opened Casa Brera in Milan, Pietro Lingeri’s Italian rationalist architecture is seamlessly paired with the richly hued, contemporary interiors crafted by Patricia Urquiola. The result is a harmonious blend of architectural clarity and custom furnishings that embodies modern Milanese sophistication. In Madrid, The Palace has been meticulously restored to revive the lost grandeur of the Belle Époque, now infused with the immersive sensibility of Barcelona-based interior designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán Studio. Here, guests embark on a journey through Madrid’s storied past, experiencing the vibrant culture and character of the Spanish capital firsthand. Meanwhile, in a 17th-century convent, Hôtel du Couvent, located in Nice, radiates tranquility with terracotta floors and plastered walls, complemented by antique French furniture and custom Festen studio pieces.

Art serves as a bridge connecting guests with the culture and spirit of each destination. At the Solaz in Los Cabos, sculptures from Gabinete del Barco and over 400 pieces from artist César López-Negrete adorn the property. The artistry and craftsmanship woven throughout the property immerse guests in Baja’s history, forging a link between visitors and their landscape. At The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho, art is integral to the hotel’s identity, featuring over 100 works—many by local Japanese artists—themes of levitation and elevation highlight the hotel’s position above the city skyline. In Portland, The Nines captures the city’s local creative spirit through an art collection curated by Paige Powell; the property boasts over 400 commissioned pieces. Guests are greeted by artwork in every space along with dramatic public installations, including a 35-foot chandelier, ensuring that creative energy is palpable throughout the hotel.

Across The Luxury Collection’s properties, art and design are foundational elements —telling stories of each destination through a creative vision, where every detail is carefully curated to inspire, enrich, and foster connection. Transcending aesthetics, art and design transform each property into an immersive tribute to local heritage, ensuring that every stay is both memorable and deeply resonant.
