Within the walls of the Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine, an institution dedicated to preserving sculpture and monumental architecture, the newest Sandro Sping/ Summer 2027 collection debuted. In recognition of the role of architecture in fashion, the setting of the show played a pivotal role in the undertones of the way the collection presents itself. Materials, lines, and design all speak the universal language that founders Evelyne and Ilan Chetrite are trying to translate to the rest of us within their newest pieces.
A men's collection with an expectation of keeping looks light for the changing of the seasons, the looks in the collection feature brighter colors referencing the Mediterranean, Aegean blue, warm sand, terracotta, and sun-yellow that draw up the sunlit settings of Mediterranean architecture inspired by its surrounding seascape. Fluid fabrics that fit with the warm anticipation of aestival: Tone-on-tone jacquards, textile interlacings, crafted knits, and stripes that build on top of the characteristic suave of the coastal Mediterranean garb.

The collection moves as an unfolding story, with embroidered flower motifs and faded pastels, seams becoming graphic lines. A transition into the women's collection back to the States, where the line takes on the recognizability of Florida’s coast. A mantra of always in motion: the energy of the unforgiving but welcomed sun. In a series of stylistic choices that feel so American, it instead births a line that balances and blends the cool and laid-back with the sophisticated, using elements like clean lines, while tailoring is deconstructed and worn with Bermuda shorts; rhinestone-embellished Western denim meets bandana-inspired embroidery on checked shirts and lace allowing for the slight reveal of skin.
The collection brings together these different ideas of the season and the never ending get up and go mentality of taking advantage of the long days.
