The natural, the simple, the organic routines of everyday life. Dull? Monotonous? Boring? Falling victim to a relentless pursuit for incessant stimulation, most fail to recognize that untouched existence breeds complexity. The act of being generates irreplicable fantasies, engineers intricacy, and fuels the indelible flashes of one’s life. For their Fall/Winter 2026 Campaign, Prada and film director Barry Jenkins prove that normalcy parallels the extraordinary.

“Simple Stories” expands the upcoming season’s womenswear and menswear collections from Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons by exploring clothing in relation to movement and individual experiences. The Fall/Winter 2026 campaign unites decades-long Italian tailoring with the world of cinema, catapulted forward by Jenkins’s short film. The film features actors Hunter Schafer, Troye Sivan, Kelvin Harrison Jr., and Chen Haoyu and gives significance to life’s intimate, simplistic moments.

Still images and cinematic storytelling position clothing as a medium that breathes life into the ordinary, rather than a mere accessory. Here, textiles serve an irreplaceable role—the manifestation of private gestures and unconscious actions. Whether it’s Harrison Jr. expressing his thoughts to a brown leather work bag, Schafer losing a pink slingback pump as she dashes up a flight of stairs, Haoyu gazing upon a mini Carry bag, or Sivan stepping onto a grassy plain in a gray, double-breasted coat, the characters’ actions, although simple, captivate viewers.

The Fall/Winter 2026 campaign is not Prada’s first experience as a contributor to the world of film. The fashion house has worked with numerous filmmakers in the past and has participated in the cultivation of stories themselves. For example, Prada costume design was present on works such as The Great Gatsby and The Grand Budapest Hotel. Thus, the brand remains committed to uniting different artforms and serving as an unparalleled force among fashion and film. “Simple Stories” is no exception, as everyday moments are transformed into captivating, bold demonstrations.
