A whisper stirs through the cobblestone streets of Milan as the FENDI Baguette returns, a relic reborn and a symbol of the House’s enduring legacy. FENDI celebrated the auspicious occasion of the new Baguette 26424 Re-Edition at Milan Design Week 2026. The event, hosted by current Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri, was an intimate evening of cocktails, toasted to the new bag, which will be available at the Palazzo FENDI Milano Boutique from April 17th.
Making its debut at the Fall/Winter 2026 show, the Baguette 26424 Re-Edition draws its name from the original code assigned to the bag upon its initial release in 1997. Chiuri’s re-edition solidifies the Baguette’s incomparable spirit and identity. The bag now appears in a softer silhouette with enhanced under-the-arm wearability, drawing inspiration from the FENDI archives. The twenty-design collection includes six Milan exclusives, each echoing FENDI’s storied past.
Using the visual narrative of a crate, each bag arrives in a wooden box equipped with a special Re-Edition metal tag, custom stencil print, secured with a yellow canvas belt, and a logoed buckle. These distinctive crates inspire the window display for Milan Design Week, unveiling archival Baguettes through an immersive video installation. The experience culminates with the Baguette displayed as a highly coveted heirloom and work of art, with the transformed packaging acting as a symbol of heritage, craftsmanship, and innovation.
After its debut at Milan Design Week, the Re-Edition will continue its international tour at New York 57 and Shanghai IFC with dedicated store pop-ins. More than a fashion accessory, the FENDI Baguette 26424 Re-Edition is an iconic piece of fashion and cultural history—meant to be cherished and celebrated.
