In their Spring/Summer 2027 Men’s And Women’s Collection, Emporio Armani’s “Traces Of Time” begs us cosmopolitans to return to a slower pace of life—to permit time’s flow to be defined by the most natural of forms. Despite having been a house historically recognized for progressive wardrobes in motion, blurring the lines between masculine and feminine, between formal and informal, designers Silvana Armani and Leo Dell’Orco approached their latest collection with a posture grounded in artistically reflecting humanity’s most ancient and natural forms of time-keeping—that is, minerals. 

Embroidered in both the men’s and women’s wardrobes, crystals and salts both ornament linen pieces with a twinkling luminosity and preserve a weightless, yet still sense of levity. Acid washes and cold dyes muddle blouses and loose pants into odd, distorted, and predominantly gray and white color combinations, creating a worn and earthy essence that is unscathed by the externalities that wish to speed up the passage of time.

Trousers remain loose, while underwear is knitted intimately. Thin, lightweight organza pieces airily layer and shimmer, while laser-treated velvet become mottled in defined, irregular splotches. Time—embedded into unstructured jackets crossed by panels or threaded as weightless viscose and jersey fabrics—simultaneously crystallizes itself, while persisting in defiance towards a certain destination that only it knows of.
