For the first time, Japanese brands Blue Blue and Stretch Fraise have set up shop outside of Japan, unveiling a pop-up at Harvey Nichols in London. Meeting the growing demand for Japanese menswear, selvedge denim, and vintage-inspired silhouettes, this pop-up marks a significant moment in the rise of heritage menswear and craftsmanship-led apparel.

Both labels, part of the Seilin & Co. group, have been torchbearers of Ametora—the Japanese menswear movement focused on perfecting vintage Americana and Ivy League styles with high-quality materials and meticulous Japanese craftsmanship. Their roster of celebrity fans includes Kristen Stewart, Andrew Garfield, Glen Powell, and Cillian Murphy.

Blue Blue, established in the 1980s, is renowned for its indigo-dyed pieces. Drawing inspiration from heritage Americana, the brand creates selvedge denim jeans, trucker jackets, and western shirts on antique looms in Okayama, each finished by hand. Slow, considerate production ensures each garment is made to fade beautifully and become a wardrobe heirloom.

Founded in 1995 as a sub-label of Tokyo’s Hollywood Ranch Market, Stretch Fraise has carved its niche as a sought-after destination for elevated basics. Using thick cotton, Stretch Fraise has built its reputation on subtly textured tees and vintage-inspired fits, earning international acclaim.

Honoring the spirit of cultural exchange, the pop-up features a rotating array of artwork by London-based artist Philip Mark Carter, highlighting the creative synergy at the heart of both brands’ ethos—connecting East and West.

The pop-up is located on the Menswear Floor at Harvey Nichols, 109-125 Knightsbridge, London, and runs until summer 2026. Featuring an array of selvedge denim jeans, trucker jackets, western shirts, tees, and sweatshirts, the collections are also available online at Harvey Nichols.
