Jaeger-LeCoultre is amplifying their Polaris Collection in 2025 with a redefined Polaris Chronograph, one that dons La Grande Maison’s signature Ocean grey lacquer on its dial. Featuring 35 layers of manually-applied lacquer enhanced with three different finishes, the depth of the Polaris Chronograph is unrivaled. The lacquering process is initiated by the application of a clear vanish coat, which is then built upon by four colored layers including black, to establish a gradient effect. Translucent lacquer is then layered in necessary abundance, totalling an additional 30 coats. Combining the new dial’s salient coloring along with the richness of the lacquer results in a testament to the sportier side of the Chronograph.

With the Polaris Collection being more than well known for its practicality, this sports watch represents high performance, versatility and elegance, balancing all aspects to provide an adaptable wearing experience. The Polaris Chronograph Ocean Grey’s mechanical efficiency is supported by the twin barrels of the Calibre 761 apparatus, and adorned with a 42mm steel case. Interchangeable textured black rubber and blue-grey canvas straps reinforce the Chronograph’s sophisticated face while bestowing maximum wrist comfort.

Finished with Côtes de Genève baseplate decor, heat-treated blued screws, and a ‘JL’ motif on the Chronograph’s winding rotor, this timeless piece allows its wearer to feel practically ornamental in every scenario.
