A pencil carves into a wooden desk, an intimate ritual, a love letter to whom it may concern.

That poetic gesture so central to Montblanc’s ethos was transformed into something tactical and wearable during Milan Fashion Week. Midway through the brand’s Let’s Write event, dusk fell over the venue. Then, like a scene lifted from the pages of 1930s European cinema, models descended from a train—each figure emerging into the spotlight like a sentence finally arriving at its perfect punctuation.

This was Montblanc’s first-ever fashion presentation: a capsule of 16 looks centered around the Montblanc leather jackets designed by Marco Tomasetta, the Montblanc Artistic Director. These jackets are a continuation of Tomasetta’s creative narrative, rooted in the Monblanc desk—a symbolic place of intellect and passion and the birthplace of ideation. Since joining the Maison in 2021, Tomesetta has been seeking to find new ways to materialize the ritual of writing. First, the Writing Traveller bag, now followed by these jackets.

Each look was styled with pieces from Montblanc’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection, featuring leathers and warm-toned hues. “I was deeply inspired by the Maison’s Hamburg archive that I have been closely studying for the past four years,” Tomasetta shared. “It has pushed me to constantly think of new and original ways to bring the world of writing closer to our customers and their hearts.” Sent as a letter on the runway, Montblanc shows us how writing can become something one wears with intimacy and reimagination.
