Beyond being the birthplace of the Renaissance—the period of European history characterized by a revival in classical art, literature and philosophy—Florence has also been long regarded as one of the fashion capitals of the world, a close runner up to the usual suspects: Milan, Paris, London and New York. Hence, it is only fitting that Florence would be the backdrop for the release of the new Il Bisonte and Todd Snyder capsule collection, amid the infamous Circolo Canottieri during Pitti Uomo—the biannual menswear trade show which draws thousands of designers and buyers alike from all over the world.

Celebrated under the Ponte Vecchio at sundown, the partnership between the historic Florentine brand Il Bisonte and modern American menswear company Todd Snyder is the result of a longstanding mutual admiration. Pieces include some of Il Bisonte’s most coveted designs—a tote bag, a weekend bag and a beauty case—reinterpreted to channel the familiar textures and monolithic colorways that Todd Snyder is known and loved for.

The capsule will be available for purchase, sold exclusively in Todd Snyder’s 22 standalone U.S. stores, beginning this fall.
