On February 11, Christian Cowan presented their Autumn Winter 2024 collection at The Harmonie Club during New York Fashion Week. Designs were born out of Cowan’s love for astronomy and took inspiration from the five-point star; in it’s debut the designer remembers his late father reciting his favorite quote from Plato: “Astronomy compels the soul to look upwards and leads us from this world to another.”

It’s in Cowan’s conviction that fashion and astronomy are alike in their power to transport us from one world to next, serving as a reminder of the ever-expanding, unbounded potential and possibility of creativity and identity.

Influences of the star are seen in shining, glittering, and at other times seemingly translucent garments, and in literal star-shaped emblems. To close the show, Christian Cowan partnered with Adobe to accomplish the first-of-its-kind wearable, electronic-customized piece via Adobe Primrose tech, reinstating the idea of limitlessness in fashion.
