[Rachel Rabbit White](https://twitter.com/rabbitwhite?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor) is unlike most other poets as she is a sex-working, angel-dust loving, wildly-outgoing woman. Her poetry is also unique in the sense that it combines satire, eroticism, and emotion all into an intimate stream of consciousness, as if you are in her mind as well. White is shameless, out-spoken, and raw, which draws you into her words. On December 1st, she published her book _Porn Carnival_ which contains poems that emphasize sensual thoughts, declining societal expectations, and the luxury of luxuries. The poems are modern and flow just like thoughts written down in a diary. Not only are they very compelling, but they allow your mind to analyze more ideas than one with each line.
After her wild launch in NY she brought the magic to LA with _Porn Carnival_’s release at Gold Diggers this past weekend. A book that Vogue calls "a stunning meditation on love, lust, and what it really means to desire," Porn Carnival has received glowing advanced praise, with NY Mag dubbing her the "'Hooker Laureate' of the Dirtbag Left." Think of RRW as the Sylvia Plath of the Lana Del Rey generation.

Getting ready for the Porn Carnival Los Angeles (Beverly Hills Chihuahua Edition) in my room at the M\*ndrian, where I like to stay because every working girl on tour (\*airplane emoji\* #blessed) knows that a party hotel keeps the golden rule: If you see something, don’t say something!!!
The artist and hooker legend Rachel Oyster Kim is the only lover in my poetry collection with a poem directly named for them. (It goes: “mouth stretch a string of pearls/two oos circling the blue of noon.”)
Oyster made a “peepshow installation” for the party, inside the black and white striped circus tent were pillows, a ring light, stuffed animals, and reflective mylar to create a house of mirrors effect. The install was the first thing I checked out when I walked into the party... I was surely not alone.
The actor and writer Trae Harris, seen here in iconic chandelier cowboy hat, was one of the hosts of the party. Trae’s grace, style and generous warmth radiated each time they graced the stage.
As I wrote in my poem Interlude: “It is said that wearing masks contributes to crime/ but this crime is a darling of crime and has only one mask.” Beautiful masked party-goers who really embody the spirit of _Porn Carnival_.

Legendary Linda from @creepy.gals, seen here wearing head to toe Creepy Yeha. Linda made a “glory hole” installation for the party, a pink heaven in a pulpit with a satin dropback, adorned with roses and roses and roses.
The party was graced with a DJ set from the statue-esque Asphodele, a modern day Venus if I’ve ever spotted one. The enigmatic muse poses here with photographer Sean Maung.
With chiron in aries, 2019 was the year of the baby. Mackenzie Moss, seen here with Oyster, is porn’s luckiest baby girl, a member of my sex cult book club, and my personal lap kitten. My poem “Chamomile” was written for her.
Oyster is flashing their “no flags” phone case, ‘cos we all are for open legs/open borders.
Working my way through the crowd, I screamed when I spotted Gaby Herstik and Gala Darling. Gala, who embodies the High Priestess tarot card, recommended Gaby as a performer for the party.
Gaby performed a “dick exorcism”, a ritual none of us didn’t know how badly we needed until it happened, ridding us of all the 2019 dick we needed erased from our lives.

I was vibed out to see Frankie Baker, a New York based poet and acupuncturist/herbalist whose latest work “Hashtag Cherry Pit Slut” leaves me drooling. Boundless pisces energy from this crafty magician.
Seen here is Porn Carnival performance artist Genevieve Belleveau with their partner/collaborator Thembe Alleyne.
Together they perform as @sacredsadism, using plants, flowers, and elements of the natural world to create a truly twisted BDSM fantasy art space.
Poetry power duo Gin Hart and Mal Young, editors of poetry journal Dirt Child, arrived, one as a an icy Bowie forest fawn, the other a demon spawn of Lana Del Rey covered in butterfly tattoos.
Cyrus Grace Dunham (far right, here with two friends) came as poet Rosie Stockton’s date. Rosie was a performer for the party and their poems were so wild, hilarious, surprising that all night I was asked, “who WAS that blonde poet?”
Rosie’s talent reverberates but even if the couple tend to cooly keep it under the radar, I reminded Cyrus that he should let Flaunt photograph him, after-all, he’s got a memoir (A Year Without a Name) to promote!

Elaine Kahn. My poetry fairy godmother, my editor, without whom Porn Carnival wouldn’t be, or at least wouldn’t be the crystal dildo strap-on of a book it became… poetry to fuck a prince with.
I wrote Porn Carnival while attending her Poetry Field School, an intense workshop experience that spans over multiple weeks. While in class, all I did was charge my phone, eat hot chip and write verse. Here is Elaine holding a copy of her new book Romance or The End.

WOMAN OF THE HOUR, performance artist and cake-sitter Lindsay Dye. Behind the scenes she painstakingly baked a psychedelic-colored cake topped with blue cherries, which the party performer slowly, teasingly, twerked into for the crowd. Her gorgeous ass slowly, hypnotically getting covered with cake as she sang a sultry Maxwell song.
Another peek inside the “peepshow booth” finds Oyster cuddled up with @uzu4play, strong stripper for stripper energy!
After the New York City Porn Carnival launch party, I heard a few stories of love connections, people finding love at the Carnival. This couple exude that elusive ride or die energy.
I first met Tea Hacic in the bathroom of one of Milan’s most ill-reputed gay clubs. This Croatian-American bandit took the west coast by surprise like a thief in the night, while denouncing the vices of sobriety. Here she is moments before going on stage for her Porn Carnival comedy set.

I’ve known the multi-talented Jazzi McGilbert (far left) since the days of fashion blogging (her) and sex blogging (me.) Jazzi is my favorite LA thrift-store partner in crime, the go-to Melrose and brunch bae.
After reading a couple of poems around midnight, I retreated into the peepshow tent, where Oyster and infamous poet Rosie Stockton hand-fed me snacks, restoring my spirit.

Relaxing into a post-party k-hole, I was sure I saw the face of God herself in Janice’s eyes.. surely an experience many can relate to.
Snuggled into the peepshow tent, post-reading, I was ecstatic to see the glorious, immediately recognizable faces of Janice Griffith and Ryan Bread peer its key-hole.
We immediately invited these porn-legends in to snuggle, cuddle and lazily twerk as “Gas Pedal” played.
