We spend approximately one-third of our lives asleep, adrift in the blank undertows of rest. After long days of work, our bodies detach from the external, suspending themselves in a subconscious refuge of tangled linen or limbs. Of course, some nights are better than others. Less tossing and turning, perhaps. But with Savoir, the realm of rest has never felt more expansive.

With a 120-year legacy crafting some of the world’s finest handmade beds, the British heritage bedmaker Savoir recently unveiled their newest showroom, far out West in the heart of Los Angeles. As the third U.S. showroom, the 940-square-foot space on Melrose, orchestrated by the prowess of interior designer Hannah Carter Owers, further extrapolates Savoir’s idea of sleep as an act of “rewilding.” That is, an unrelenting vocation to rekindle the pressures of external artificialities with what should come most internal, carnal, and natural to us—rest.

Drawing on California’s capacious range of organic complexity, the showroom bathes itself in the Golden State’s innate inclination to soothe, to unwind. Located in the bustling West Hollywood Design District, a soft bohemia replaces the smog and billboards with a natural light, gently illuminating refinished concrete floors, sand and pale umber tones, and beech millwork. Ornamented in luxurious mid-century references—wide-fluted headboards, Dedar’s Karakorum boucle upholsterings, uneven wool textures, and viscose loops, for instance—Savoir’s Melrose beds open a new chapter in the brand’s growing presence in the U.S..

Founded on a commitment to personal service and timeless quality, the Savoir showroom in Los Angeles opened October 12th, 2026 and remains waiting for public viewing.
