Saint Laurent is heading to Art Basel Miami Beach with a collaboration between Anthony Vaccarello and Madonna. The two creatives are curating an exhibition from Madonna’s 1992 book Sex, as Saint Laurent Rive Droite will be presenting the large-format photos in a beachfront box built specifically for the exhibition. Upon its initial release Sex was a shocking, controversial collection of images by Steven Meisel accompanied by text from Madonna, yet 30 years later is valued as a staple of culture. In celebration of the book’s impact and three-decade anniversary, original publisher Callaway will be re-issuing 800 copies uniquely made for Saint Laurent. A limited number of these copies will be signed by Madonna and intended for auction, of which proceeds will go towards her Raising Malawi charity. Saint Laurent’s gallery will be free to those over 18 from Nov. 29 to Dec. 4.
