Iceland Airwaves, the world’s northernmost music festival and a global hub for underground musicians and artists, has announced its 2025 music and speaker lineup. Featuring up-and-coming local and international talent alongside speakers spanning countless fields, the festival promises a weekend of creative and intellectual enrichment. This year introduces new showcases—The Spanish Wave, Music Finland, Opia Community, and Music Yukon—bringing the sounds of Spain, Finland, and Canada to Reykjavik’s venues.

Highlights from the over 110-artist lineup include American hip-hop duo Joey Valence & Brae, Mexican singer-songwriter Silvana Estrada, Canadian multi-instrumentalist Saya Gray, and Iceland’s own Bríet. Rising acts such as electro-pop duo SCAM and Polish jazz prodigy Hania Derej will also make their Iceland Airwaves debuts.
On the conference side, Iceland’s President Halla Tómasdóttir will join Rolling Stone’s Althea Legaspi for a fireside chat on the legacy of the Women’s Strike, and the closing panel—“Boycotts, Backlash & Taking a Stand: Where Does Music Belong?”—will explore the power of art in times of political and cultural upheaval.

Taking place from November 6 to 8, 2025, the festival will once again spill into downtown Reykjavik, filling its bars, clubs, and shops with sound. Two new venues, club BIRD and rock space Lemmy, join the lineup of performance spaces. On opening night, FLAUNT will take over the Icelandair Stage with performances from lúpína, CYBER, Valdimar, and Fat Dog.
In true Icelandic fashion, Airwaves continues to prove that creativity thrives even at the edge of the world—where music, art, and conversation converge beneath the Northern Lights.
