Online taste maker Resident Advisor is celebrating its 25 anniversary with the release of their second ever publication– a love letter to electronic music and club culture.
After a quarter century of reporting, RA has solidified its place as a leading music platform dedicated to documenting the dance, electronic, and DJ ecosystem around the world. Titled Front Left, their upcoming book timelines the development of club culture in the 21st century.
Crafting a story through their journalistic archives, the four chapters of Front Left tell the story of the 2000-2026 in four distinct parts: Club Culture's Watershed Moments, The Modern Architects, Around the World in Ten Dance Floors, and The Big Themes.
Commissions for the book include a foreword by Artist Mark Leckey, and new pieces from musicians and creatives like Call Super, Sam Valenti IV and Frankie Decaiza Hutchinson.
A new-age bible of sorts, Front Left is designed for music fans, subculture enthusiasts, working musicians, and industry professionals alike. Full of touchstone essentials from artists and journalists alike, RA aims to reach beyond music, celebrating the culture and community built around its rhythms.
Front Left will be available at the end of the year and is open to pre-order here.
