Heliot Emil Spring/ Summer 2020
Julius Juul and Victor Juul presented their Spring/ Summer 2020 collection, “Torqued Ellipse,” with a virtual runway on September 27th during Paris Fashion Week. The brothers created HELIOT EMIL™ precisely four years ago, and continue to explore the relationship between form and function with experimental garment construction.
The collection is largely inspired by Richard Serra’s steel sculpture series— A series perceived as impossible to both the naked eye, and most industry experts. Influenced by this level of experimentalism, Julius designed this collection filled with smooth rounded curves and metal hardware, juxtaposed with signature canvas, knit and iridescent materials. A noticeable evolution throughout the brand’s existence is the exceptional quality that improves each season. From materials to cuts to feel and movement, HELIOT EMIL™ continues to grow and expand in character year by year.
Spring/ Summer 2020 proves to be the brand’s most prominent collection yet; solidifying their signature silhouettes, and furthering their experimentation processes, all while bringing a fresh and new look to the Copenhagen scene where the brand’s headquarters currently stand.
