It’s one of those sneaky songs that starts out like a lullaby, and soon enough has crashed through into a joyous stride. “In The Morning” is a song to smile to.
A.O. Gerber is an LA artist about to drop her debut album “Another Place to Need” on May 22. The video accompanying “In the Morning” shows her wandering fields, waters, and small town streets.
On the video, she said, “When Madeline \[Kenney\] brought her concept idea to me I got so excited because she basically reflected to me an exaggerated picture of what I was actually feeling and seeing as I was writing ‘In the Morning.’ It was like she took the real circumstances and turned them into a dream or a cartoon and there was something so perfect about that because sadness can be a bit cartoonish and dramatized in retrospect.”
