[Balenciaga’s](http://balenciaga.com) Rodeo Drive location is moving—right across the street. The new building is newer, larger, and fitter for Balenciaga Artistic Director Demna Gvasalia’s vision of combining elements of diverse public and private environments. On June 8th, 2019, the grand opening/closing will commence.

The new store has a location-specific design, an open layout that displays its architecture to passerby. Stone flooring on the ground floor flushes into the concrete sidewalk outside, while concrete slabs, a system of conveyor rails, and polished metal tables decorate the space. The industrialist decors contrast the public service or lab-like resonance of glowing displays and padded furniture.
