Rebecca has refused to be limited to only one path, and she is making her mark beyond the lens, showing others that it is okay to have two or more passions and excel in them all. At just 23 years old, Rebecca has cemented her place in the modeling and fashion industry. She is a well-known entrepreneur and professional model working with RoyalGlitz Models, Top Tier Models, and Bleu Bae Models. Rebecca has also appeared in several music videos for different artists, including Lenny Tavarez, Arcangel, De La Ghetto, and Justin Quiles. According to Rebecca Sudel, she has always had a deep passion for modeling and fashion. She notes that she always felt underrepresented in these two industries as a biracial child. One of the reasons she wanted to join the space was to help break the stereotypical barriers and empower fellow women of color. “Being a biracial kid with a darker skin tone, people used me as an outlet for their lack of knowledge and ignorance. Many fail to understand that we do not choose our skin color, and you may come out possessing any recessive or dominant gene,” says Rebecca. She explains that she has missed out on numerous opportunities as many people felt like she did not look the part, and she was either too dark or too short for a model, which is why Rebecca started her movement. Today, Rebecca uses her journey to break barriers in the modeling industry and inspire women worldwide. She is breaking American beauty standards and creating a safe space where no one feels attacked for their skin color, body type, or size. Rebecca also shows young women and men that it is possible to excel in more than one field. Besides being a top model, Rebecca is a full-stack web developer and fashion designer and has a bachelor’s degree in sociology with a minor in English. She is currently working on launching her swimwear line for both women and men. As she continues to thrive, Rebecca is also venturing into real estate. She explains that she has always wanted to do this, and she is grateful that she has made it possible. Rebecca is looking to launch her first three Airbnb short-term rental properties in Atlanta and Miami in the coming months. “Life is full of challenges, and not everything works out as you had planned,” says Rebecca. Even so, you should never let these setbacks weigh you down. Before Rebecca started her career as a model, she ran track, which she did throughout high school until her second year in college. Unfortunately, she got a knee injury and had to look for another path. It was then that she met celebrated photographer Roo the Shooter, who helped her in her journey of becoming a top model. Rebecca notes that while it hasn’t been easy and she has met countless obstacles, she is grateful to pursue something she loves as she helps create a more diverse modeling industry.
