Pristine dedication and intentional mastery are on display by an array of the world’s most renowned luxury Maisons at this year’s Watches and Wonders. Taking place in Geneva, the world capital of watchmaking, the event’s featured concepts demonstrate artistry and technological advancement in conjunction with extravagant fashion.
Dedicated to innovative design and proficiency, and in celebration of the Maison’s 160th anniversary, ZENITH proudly releases a series of novelty watches for this year’s Watches and Wonders in Geneva, with a focus on expanding the G.F.J. and the Chronomaster collections. Being publicly desired, the G.F.J collection is favored for its refined design, including a platinum case and lapis lazuli dial. This year, the Maison introduces two new versions, including the G.F.J. Tantalum and the G.F.J. Bloodstone. Considered one of the most challenging metals in watchmaking, the first piece is crafted in tantalum and “defined by its density and subtle metallic luminosity.” With 11 baguette-cut diamond indexes, a black onyx center, a brick-pattern guilloché outer ring, and a mother-of-pearl small seconds counter, this debut, along with the other unveiled pieces, reflects the sophistication and cutting-edge design of the Maison.

Inspired by the museum’s famed installations, Métiers D’Art is a collaboration between Vacheron Constantin and The Louvre that honors the rich artistry of ancient civilizations. The collection proposes nine decorative crafts though inclusions of cultural symbols relevant to their storied histories. With four models limited to fifteen pieces each, these watches are designed to encourage an interactive relationship between wearer and maker, offering opportunities for creative customization. In partnership with The Louvre since 2019, Vacheron Constantin seeks to preserve the aesthetic imagery of Pharaonic Egypt, the Assyrian Empire, Ancient Greece, and Imperial Rome in their exceptional design and craftsmanship.

Grand Seiko unveils the SBGX365, a compact 9F quartz timepiece from the brand’s Heritage collection. Driven by the Japanese image of hana-ikada–cherry blossom petals floating on water–the dial’s deep blue shade and minimalist face simulate the luminous glow of moonlight upon this poetic, tranquil scene. The SBGX365 utilizes Caliber 9F51 technology, including the Twin Pulse Control Motor and Backlash Auto-Adjust Mechanism, and a regulation switch to reinforce accuracy in its mechanical performance. Presented alongside the SBGX363 “Hana-Ikada 32,” the concept envisions the enchanting experience of a Japanese springtime.

Blending elements of Italian design and Swiss accuracy, Panerai showcases several new collections of novelty watches, including the Luminor Vintage collection, the Submersible Navy SEALs Afniotech™ Experience, and the Luminor 31 Giorni, the Maison’s first design with a 31-day power reserve. With a legacy rooted in creating essential, often survival tools and instruments for military operations, Panerai ingrains each piece with durability and self-sufficiency, yielding power reserves to remain a key element of the Maison’s identity. The visual design consists of a skeletonized structure, a black alligator strap, and a screwed see-through sapphire crystal case-back. More practical elements include the power reserve, a patented polarized date, and water resistance up to 100 meters. The Luminor 31 Giorni portrays the importance of extended autonomy within the Maison’s products and the value of endurance and longevity.

Described as a “sound with an open heart”, H. Moser & Cie presents the Endeavour Minute Repeater Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton, a fully skeletonized minute repeater with background mechanisms and a flying tourbillon featuring a cylindrical hairspring, all cocooned in a 40 mm titanium case. Unlike traditional watches, the chimes are placed on the side of the dial in order to spotlight the minute repeater. The exposed skeleton structure allows the piece to breathe while presenting a flawless and pristine nature. As an addition, a covert H. Moser & Cie symbol appears on a small domed sub-dial at 2 o’clock, maintaining a secret steadiness to the reverberations and controlled chaos orbiting around. The hand-wound HMC 909 calibre amplifies a more minimalist and muted style for the piece, allowing the intermechanics to remain in the foreground through a chaordic nature.

The Tonda PF Chronograph, new from Parmigiani Fleurie, centers luxurious minimalism in its compact, refined structure. Crafted with the wrist’s comfort in mind, the watch features a 40mm diameter that is both proportionate and sensible. The instrument is expertly powered by high-frequency PF070 manufactured movement, which vibrates at five hertz. Its 18-carat rose gold construction brings warmth and versatility to its simplistic aesthetic, fitting for both daily and formal wear. A timepiece invented with ergonomics in mind, the Tonda PF Chronograph utilizes precious materials to create a precise, convenient equilibrium.

Implemented through high levels of technology, horology, and craftsmanship, Ulysse Nardin is unveiling the [Super] Freak, a reinterpreted “mechanical powerhouse” comprised of over 500 components shaped by the Maison’s 180-year history of design and legacy. Concepted as an extension of the collection, “Freak”, this piece concentrates on bolder levels of complexity, including a double tourbillon and a seconds display. With the world’s smallest differential, measuring at 5 mm, this piece truly embodies the phrase “tiny but mighty”. The [Super] Freak averages the rate of two inclined tourbillons while simultaneously transferring energy to the gimbal system, which, in short, guarantees stability, precision, and durability. Crafted with Nanosital® technology and a light-blue-colored disc, this watch conveys both avant-garde aesthetics and sleek luxury and comfort.
Bremont announces the Altitude Chronograph Pulsograph Valjoux 23, an upgraded design borrowing from early 20th-century watchmaking techniques. Its brand-signature engine is paired with a vintage-inspired salmon dial that honors the craft’s legacy, advanced with contemporary technological advancements such as a protective titanium Trip-Tick case. The watch’s central dial is elegantly framed with stencil-style black and gold hour numerals. Its pulsometric scale utilizes technology developed for the chronographs belonging to doctors of the 1910s, implemented to measure the rhythm of the human heartbeat. The Altitude Chronograph’s marriage of old and new methodology demonstrates Bremont’s prominence as a purveyor of premier timepieces.

In honor of the 30th anniversary of Chopard Manufacture in Fleurier, Chopard is presenting an extension to the initial classic model, L.U.C 1860. This new piece maintains the authenticity and soul of its original archetype while seamlessly incorporating three decades of technical advances. Inspired by the Areuse River that flows in the Val-de-Travers region, the timepiece is crafted in Lucent Steel™ with its “Areuse Blue” dial. Crafted by in-house artisans with a guilloché lathe, the 18-carat white gold dial displays a sunburst pattern. With a chronometer-certified L.U.C Calibre 96.40-L, Chopard’s watches guarantee endurance and craftsmanship held to the highest standard without the expense of luxury.
With the convergence of some of the most globally recognized luxury Maisons, this year’s Watches and Wonders continues to display the quality craftsmanship and persistence of technological breakthroughs within watchmaking.
