Through an evocative exploration of modern femininity, transcending traditional fashion boundaries, Prada's Fall/Winter 2026 collection displays the complexities and pluralities of women's lives. Under the creative visionary direction of Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, this womenswear collection explores the art of layering and shedding—both in regards to clothing and in the experiences that shape personal identity.

Guests of the brand included Love Story star Sarah Pidgeon, as well as Zoey Deutch, Anna Sawai, Letitia Wright, and Pond Narvarti, taking their seats in the Deposito of the Fondazione Prada. The vast space was adorned in artwork and furniture spanning from the 16th to 19th century, creating an atmosphere that welcomed 60 looks, presented on 15 models, each showcasing four different outfits. The show began in tailored tubular shrunken coats; once removed, 50s-style skirts, sweaters with exaggerated cuffs, wrinkled shirts, shift dresses, and underpinnings were revealed.

The beauty of chaos, destruction, and decay was presented through the fabric. Purposeful fraying, mold stains, and soiled fabric reveal a new pattern, accentuating the perfection that comes from imperfection. However, this was offset by overtly opulent accessories: knee-length lace-up jacquard boots, alligator top-handle bags, embellished socks, and kitten heels featuring dangling crystals.
In Prada’s FW26 Read-to-Wear collection, the juxtaposition of polish with purposeful chaos and silhouettes designed to both obscure and uncover, emphasises how personal identity is fluid. Through this interplay of refinement and ruin, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons suggest women are not static but ever evolving.
