Pomellato, a pioneer of contemporary jewelry and vibrant Milanese flair, revisits the brand’s rich heritage of free-spirited design with the unveiling of their newest collection, Collezione 1967. Drawing on the maison’s iconic legacy of exquisite craftsmanship and unique savoir-faire, Collezione 1967 stands as Pomellato’s Jewelry Manifesto—a testament to the jeweler’s centuries-old goldsmithing techniques, avant garde designs, and incorporation of magnificent gemstones that solidifies the brand’s identity as a powerhouse for elegance. Spanning 75 precious masterpieces, this collection highlights three pivotal eras from Pomellato’s history: the chain revolution of the 1970s, breaking the rules of design in the 1980s, and the chromatic vision of the 1990s. Each of these decades ushered in new meaning to Pomellato, and Collezione 1967 represents more than just jewelry; it’s a tribute to artisanal craftsmanship and ability to capture light and intensity within these mosaics of beauty.

Each creation boasts Pomellato’s timeless, yet contemporary design—reinforcing the idea that luxury need not sacrifice a playful spirit for prestige and that boundaries were made to be broken. “The new High Jewelry collection marks a powerful return to our roots distilling the essence of three decades.” says Vincenzo Castaldo, Pomellato’s Creative Director. “Capturing moments that have contributed to define Pomellato’s identity as we love it today, unconventional and unmistakable.”

The 70s were a period of change and rebellion for Milan with Pomellato emerging as an innovator of design, reimagining the purpose of the chain. Why must chains fulfill the role of supporting character, never cast as the protagonist in the tale of jewels? For Pino Rabolini, the founder of Pomellato, this fate would be rewritten through the transformation of the chain from a mere functional element to the star of the design. In the Collezione 1967, the caliber of chain-making rises to a crescendo with 20 exceptional pieces that celebrate Pomellato’s artistry and creativity.

Of the full 20, the Blue Chain Cascade, Aquamarine Dream, Yellow Diamond Moon, Art of Chains, and Precious Spring Ring capture the essence of chain mastery and innovation. From Ceylon sapphire fused into a cascading waterfall of white diamond pavé-set chains to dégradé links showcasing striking aquamarines, to yellow diamonds set among two sensuously fluid gourmette and round-link chains and rose gold melded with baguette-cut diamond accents, these works of art embody the majesty of Rabolini’s chain legacy.

The 80s are known as a period of exuberance, characterized by bold experimentation and limitless artistry. This decade was no less luxuriant for the maison—ushering in an era of architecturally exquisite jewelry design in which volume and shape were paramount to success. The 18 distinct pieces in this line encapsulate this very energy of innovation bringing together Pomellato’s goldsmithing expertise with imaginative design.

The Asymmetrico Tanzanite, Zigzag Supreme, and Rivière Zigzag boast the mastery behind the hands that assemble the jewels. An irregular-cut tanzanite dazzles among gold plates pavé-set with diamonds in a masterpiece that requires 700 hours of craftsmanship. Dramatic intricacy spotlights a zigzag chain enhanced by brilliant tanzanites in a work that celebrates the juxtaposition of architectural rigor and fluid mobility. The imperfections of organic beauty are featured in the reinvention of the classic rivière necklace with two variations of green tourmaline or rubellite unconventionally positioned among a constellation of diamonds.

And finally, as the ‘90s swept a sense of flamboyance through society, Pomellato witnessed an explosion of color into the fashion industry and reflected this phenomenon in their own creative journey, shifting the maison toward color artistry. This rise of chromatic expertise boasted a new epoch in Pomellato’s aesthetic, and this brilliance is reflected in the chromatic chapter of the Collezione 1967 with 37 pieces showcasing the mastery of Pomellato’s gemstones.

The Lagoon Bavarole, a 47-stone green tourmaline waterfall, the Marvelous Griffe, a palette of 10 rose gold earring sets, the Iconica Extreme, a parure of goldsmithing excellence enhanced by emeralds and diamonds, and the Precious Snap Hook, a virtuosic pavé-set diamond lariat necklace, sit at the helm of this triumph of elegance.

This is a manifesto—a testament to the legacy of Pomellato, a maison that challenges tradition, breaks rules, and embraces contemporary creative expression.
