Midtown is the beating heart of New York, a cultural icon pumping connection and conversation through the city. As Grand Central introduces the city itself, the New York Public Library, Theater District, and MoMA present the stars of their industries. From these landmarks, people are able to build relationships with each other. A new exclusive club, Moss, located on Fifth Avenue, highlights the integration of New York, culture, and community through their guiding principles of “Intelligent Leisure and Physical Culture.”

Spanning four entities, Moss’s culinary program caters to every dining experience. Babette serves as the club’s primary restaurant, with a menu blending American fare, French techniques, and East Asian inspiration. A continuation of Babette, Bar Babette focuses on cocktails, seafood, and classic pub meals. Outside of their main dining experiences, Lil’s offers members a relaxed environment in the form of a piano lounge, centering live jazz music and classic cocktails. The adjoining sitting room allows for greater intimacy in conversation. Inklings, Moss’s library bar, serves innovative cocktails and an evolving menu. 

In addition to their dining offerings, Moss encourages the pursuit of “Intelligent Leisure” through the Symposium, a gathering space for performances, exhibition openings, and conversations. Inside, the Rotating Walls art exhibit features quarterly installations from artists and curators. The vinyl listening room, Off the Record, can also be converted to a private karaoke room, allowing members to explore music as a foundation to connection. The Games Room fosters conversation over a vintage billiards table, poker, Mahjong, or chess. Members can record podcasts at the Broadcast, a professional studio equipped with cameras and windows designed to enhance acoustics. Additionally, members can host meetings, dinners, and celebrations in the four separate private rooms on the top-floor. 

The bottom two floors of Moss are dedicated to Bedrock Aquatics and Athletics, their space for “Physical Culture.” The Aquatics level was inspired by the art of social bathing, with roots in ancient Roman culture. A hammam steam room, sauna, and three thermal pools unite wellness and hydration. Recovery zones and grooming services, including barbering and makeup, enable guests to transition from relaxation to socialization. Staffed with NYU-certified trainers, the Athletics level operates as a gym, with Reformer pilates, strength training, and cardio. A golf simulator and pickleball court highlight physical competition as a form of conversation.
