Years of culminated research in technical development, training, and bringing together engineers and performance specialists, as well as Prada Linea Rossa and Red Bull, birthed the results Diego Poncelet had been working toward: becoming the fastest skateboarder ever recorded.

On a sunny day at Route des Éboulements in the Charlevoix region of Quebec, Canada, Poncelet reached a final speed of 151.83 km/h, a speed of roughly 93.83 mph, and set the world record, becoming the fastest downhill skateboarder ever recorded. The feat was no simple one; it required years of research, training, and development alongside specialists who helped Poncelet not only with the engineering side of the performance, like adjusting aerodynamics, but also with physical conditioning and making sure he could have dominion over the control of the board while traveling at such high speeds.

Not only due to the calculation of perfect climate conditions, but Poncelet had also collaborated closely with Prada Linea Rossa to design gear that was adept for high speed and comfort; shoes designed with herringbone traction that enhanced board contact and helped push the limits of the skateboard's rideability to its utmost potential. With a combination of wind, temperature, and road conditions, he first broke the previous world record by a small amount, before returning to the same road five days later to complete one single run that would break his own record set days before by an even higher margin. Poncelet’s tour de force is not only a triumph for himself, but also for Prada Linea Rossa, and their belief in supporting and expanding athletic aptitude and ability, and supporting brands that also hope to expand the horizon for performance.
