The Los Angeles Philharmonic unveiled its 2026–2027 season at Walt Disney Concert Hall today, featuring 22 commissioned works, with 15 world premieres and three U.S. premieres.
The 2026-2027 season at the LA Philharmonic is the first led by newly-appointed Creative Director Esa-Pekka Salonen, who will also take the podium for several programs throughout the year, including multiple installments of the season-long Rituals festival. The season also places a strong focus on minimalism, with programs honoring Steve Reich and Philip Glass.

LA Phil Music Director Gustavo Dudamel will return to conduct several major programs, leading a cycle of Beethoven’s piano concertos with longtime artistic partner and classical pianist Rudolf Buchbinder in December and a new work by Canadian composer Zosha Di Castri (alongside Stravinsky’s Symphony in Three Movements and Prokofiev’s Fifth Symphony) in May.
Conductor and Baroque specialist Emmanuelle Haïm will continue her three-year residency at the LA Phil this year. She will be joined by guest conductors Elim Chan, Maxim Emelyanychev, Gustavo Gimeno, Roberto González-Monjas, Anna Handler, and more.

The LA Phil Colburn Celebrity Recitals will bring some of classical music’s biggest names today to Los Angeles, including global piano star Lang Lang, GRAMMY award-winning violinist Hilary Hahn, and GRAMMY-winning pianist Daniil Trifonov, among others. Non-classical programs will feature performances by the likes of Bernadette Peters, Pat Benatar, Andrew Bird, and more.
New LA Phil subscriptions and renewals are available for purchase on March 17, with group sales for select concerts going on sale July 10, and single-show tickets on sale August 11. To view the full lineup, visit www.laphil.com.
