CRX’s official video for their latest single, “Falling” is like a sweltering fever dream colliding with a Haruki Murakami novel’s pulse. The video, directed by Kansas Bowling is washed in an 80’s haze, as an ethereal woman in a dream state wanders through magenta patterns, lavender dots, and satin blues. Each scene more mystifying than the next, the girl strokes a sheep with a red star on its hip, cradles a disappearing cat, and gazes at fabricated city skylines.  “Falling” follows the band’s first release this year, “We’re All Alone,” teasing us with the soon arrival of CRX’s sophomore album _Peek_ coming August 23. CRX is composed of The Strokes’ Nick Valensi \[lead guitarist\], and is joined by Darian Zahedi \[guitar\], Jon Safley \[bass\], Ralph Alexander \[drums\] and Brad Oberhofer \[keyboardist\].  Drawing off mutual obsessions and influences from Talking Heads to David Bowie, CRX unlocks a surreal new wave sound infused with retro synths and tight guitar jams. “The recording was very different, because we made a big deal of tracking it as live as possible,” Darian explains of the album. “We also let go and embraced some of these really cool influences that took us into the stratosphere. It was a combination of writing for over a year, getting out of our heads, and knowing what we wanted to sound like.” Pre-order _Peek_ [**HERE**](https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__highrisepr.us14.list-2Dmanage.com_track_click-3Fu-3De1881ce6fa06ce0191b442b67-26id-3Dd5e627ec45-26e-3De4f28d2ffe&d=DwMFaQ&c=slrrB7dE8n7gBJbeO0g-IQ&r=FMtTu9oC8vaQHaDXt7FKog&m=_Hb4eNitmQEcEr05KQdBlnpJgrifbBrtW4BZax2g4VY&s=RWdu11ktN9KaScEllP3BBrG8tFxqDCvQznZbEPgCLKw&e=).
