At first glance, [Z Berg](https://www.instagram.com/zeezerizer/?hl=en) might seem a diminutive creature, but the depth of her range, her history and her despair make her cast a much larger shadow. Plus, the high heels and crown of braids help a bit.
Coming from the teenage girl-group, The Like, who made wistfully-dreamy new-wave and spiky mod-pop music, and touring with everyone from The Strokes and The Arctic Monkeys to Phoenix, Dinosaur Jr., Muse, and Maroon5, Z Berg is now allowing you to really see what she has always been.
Her recently-released, critically-praised solo record, “Get Z To Z Nunnery” strips down raw, like every aspect of Berg’s world, tearing down walls between artist and audience, fact and fiction, past and present...
Today, in honor of spooky season, Z Berg presents the deliriously and hilariously macabre “Skin and Bones.” Featuring non-binary, grunge-pop, indie-icon Shamir, directed by Molly Adams, and filmed at the studio of Los Angeles-based artist, Max Hooper Schneider, “Skin and Bones” is a twisted, gothic-noir love song written for Berg’s ex girlfriend for their unofficial anniversary, Halloween.
