Jersey-born singer/songwriter [Adam Melchor](https://www.instagram.com/adammelchor/) is a believer in lasting optimism, and brimming with talent. The up-and-coming artist exudes this in his declaration of devotion, "[I Choose You](https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=tmGjeAECSZg)," and self-produced single "[Joyride](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ENYXJItPAk)," which has garnered over one million Spotify streams. With his signature style- multilayered up-front vocals, isolated acoustic guitar, and instrumental blares- Melchor has mastered his lo-fi sound that’s woven with tales. Over the weekend, Adam took us along his tour.

My first headline show at Baby’s All Right in NYC!

Backstage at the first date opening for JS Ondara :)

Walking off stage after performing at the Greek Theatre in LA opening for Rodrigo y Gabriela. This was the most people I had ever played in front of!!

Singing at Terminal 5 in NYC, the place where I saw my very first concert. this made my heart so full.

Opening for Dodie at a sold out Danforth Music Hall in Toronto.

A huge part of touring is finding time to do something that has nothing to do with the tour. when I opened for Dodie, the tour manager elliot booked us a boat adventure in northern California and it was such an amazing time. To enjoy yourself and to enjoy a tour, the balance of happiness from things other than music is necessary. This is a selfie Dodie took on a disposable camera.

On the Dodie tour, we had a day off outside of St. Louis. we had nothing to do, so we decided to get a projector and have a movie night in the parking lot. We put one of the banners over the trailer and projected a movie and sat around and ate some food. Here’s a drone shot one of the crew members took!

The road and touring life is fun for a lot of reasons, but one of my favorite reasons is that it connects me with people who live around the country who I haven’t seen in a while. This is one of my best friends Brandon. We grew up together and he basically taught me how to write songs. He lives in Arizona now, and I don’t get to see him unless I’m on the road so iIm always smiling ear to ear whenever I see him.

This is a shot of me hugging a fan after I played the Greek Theatre. To play a show is nothing without the audience and it’s one of the best experiences both sides can have. I love being able to say hey to everyone who came to the show after the show. it means the world to me for people to come hear me play, and it’s amazing to talk to people and hear from them in person.

Here’s a shot of the last tour I just finished of the year with Mt Joy and Wilderado. We played at the Wiltern in LA and here you can see what it looks like from our view on stage :)
