With the [T.U.C](https://www.instagram.com/iam_tuc/)\-produced "Diego” featuring [Victoria Kimani](http://instagram.com/victoriakimani) and [R. City](https://www.instagram.com/rcity), the publicist turned A&R reels in the hottest African artists for this upbeat, tropical, feel-good anthem. Her relocation to Nigeria from New Jersey includes one goal: bridging the gap between the diaspora and the continent of Africa.  Speaking on the release, Savannah can hardly contain her excitement. Having spent the last year and a half building a music catalog — studio sessions, sending and receiving stems with artists, FaceTimes across time zones, conceptualizing the content behind the music — “Diego” serves as her first leap into the A&R space. She states, “African music is gaining more recognition globally and I didn't see an A&R proactively bringing the stories and sounds full circle from the hoods of Oakland, California to the deserts of Kenya. I'm inspired by the mutual admirations of James Brown and Fela Kuti, with both legends as huge fans of each other and influencing one another's crafts. James Brown toured Nigeria, while Fela spent time in America. A lot of black people from the West haven't been exposed to the sounds and terrains of our brothers and sisters on the continent of Africa, so it's important we show it.” Diverse black storytelling is essential in pushing the culture forward, and Savannah’s enthralled to lend her voice in telling these unique narratives. Her end goal is to shift the lens and create expressive and purposeful global collaborations. Listen to “Diego” below and get inspired!
