[Chloe Flower](https://www.instagram.com/misschloeflower/?hl=en) is an anomaly in the music industry, a classically-trained pianist, composer, and humanitarian here to shake up the world in the most impactful way. You may have seen her playing the piano alongside Cardi B at the 2019 GRAMMYS, [a performance that currently hails over 12.6 million views on Youtube and counting](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4G-ULhfBLjM)—but now, she steps into her own as a recording artist.
Today, Chloe returns to release the official music video for her new single “Tamie,” premiered today exclusively on _Flaunt_. The song and visual is dedicated to her good friend Tamie, embodying the beauty and resilience of their Asian heritage, in perfect timing for Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Layered with hypnotizing melodies and trap beats, Chloe creates her own Popsical genre pushing the boundaries of music genres altogether.
Speaking on the record, Chloe states, “I composed this for my upcoming album before all the anti-Asian rhetoric and violence, using Asian-inspired chord progressions. I think of it as my Asian pride song and because of that, there’s no better time to release it. There’s a sense of beauty, strength, and resilience when I play this song that I hope listeners will experience as well.”
In conjunction with the music video, which was filmed in a classic Chinese garden and directed by Deb Tam, Chloe announces her forthcoming self-titled debut album releasing on July 16th via Sony Music Masterworks. Chloe produced and recorded the album from her New York City apartment during the Covid-19 pandemic, and it features spoken word from Deepak Chopra and her own unique take on Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy.”
