Robertson found stillness in the shed where Crack Cloud had created _Pain Olympics_, which contrasted widely from the ever-changing life he had previously been living. He was finally able to reflect on life and work on new hobbies. “In the stillness of that space, I was afforded time to reflect on the thoughts and experiences that had gone unseen: Loss of love. The dying of my grandfather. The dying of friends to overdose. Seeing new countries. Bearing witness to celebration and trauma. While I was writing, I was also building a Buchla 200 synthesizer, learning to weave on a loom, keeping my hands busy.” This album differs from his music with Crack Cloud, breaking away from collaborative work, and focusing on self-reflection. While listeners may not know the entire backstory behind this album, Robertson’s introspective work brings them into his space and thought process. Listen to _Peace Chord_ below!
