Critically acclaimed menswear designer, [Kiko Kostadinov](https://www.instagram.com/kikokostadinov/), takes his expertise into the world of art. His exhibition titled, OTTO 95.8, opening at [Morán Morán](https://moranmorangallery.com), showcases artistic objects that were created as a parallel to his fashion pieces, which are inspired by daily uniforms and practical work wear. Through his work, he incorporates alienness and a voyage of personal history with a focus on cultural identity.
Some of his objects on view include an installation comprised of Japanese chalk line devices, Travis Perkins and Jewson mugs, and local radio stations; a wall screen made of beads that have fishing weights and soundproof material intertwined into it; and five underground devices transformed into extraterrestrial free-standing coat stands for his Burr Snap Coats.
While all of these pieces represent different meanings and importances, they all collectively symbolize the overarching exhibition as identification where the viewer can recognize a comprehensive visual undercurrent in every object or a contemporary resemblance in relation to aesthetic conversation. As well, his curiosity of peculiar forms gives this exhibition a distinctive look at the fashion and art worlds.
OTTO 95.8 is Kiko Kostadinov’s first gallery exhibition and is on view from November 16th to December 21st 2019 at [Morán Morán](https://moranmorangallery.com) Gallery in Los Angeles
