From cut to color there is always something hot that people are chasing. The above is an example by L’ANZA’s Global Color Director, Leah Freeman. The style has been popularized throughout the last year and is going strong as a demand in salons in winter of 2022. It brings an effortless blend of blonde to the front two pieces of hair, while the rest remains toned down in a shade of (here warm) brown for maximum contrast. These face-framing highlights will add a little brightness to your winter look without the massive upkeep of full highlights or an all-over double-process look.
Continuum Styled here by L’ANZA International Artistic Director Ludovic Beckers, this style is known as “Continuum,” or the “Dutch Girl”. This iconic style is named after its inspiration from Audrey Hepburn and her Dutch fans during WWII. This look has a chic and esoteric set of color, shapes and lines that elegantly fall around the face calling back to a more classic era. Sleek hair is combined with mohair curls and horizontal lines. Ludovic brings a look almost 100 years old and freshens it up as a new trend alert for 2022 at L’ANZA.
The “Mixie” Coined by L’ANZA International Artistic Director Ludovic Beckers, this look is for the bold and edgy client wanting something original this winter 2022 season. "What was clearly in our mind was the philosophy of our brand L'ANZA. To make beautiful and healthy hair for woman," Beckers explained. "This collection celebrates iconic looks with a modern, sophisticated spin. Each look flows together, from the hair down to the fashion.” While the mullet is something that is traditionally seen as a fashion faux-pas, it took on a cult following for those looking to send a signal of rebellion with their hair. L’ANZA took over this trend by leaning into and refining the mullet for all hair colors, lengths, and shapes with the “Mixie”.
Sectioning Highlights A final look to send of L’ANZA’s winter 2022 trends by Global Color Director Leah Freeman are sectioning highlights. This look is a simple yet fresh take on a client’s otherwise all-over color by pulling out sections around the bangs and face as well as under pieces and giving them a fresh pop of color (in this instance, rose gold on a warm blonde). This look can easily be switched up with the seasons and is something fun to add a pop of color to a winter look. It’s a bolder take on peek-a-boo highlights without the full commitment of a balayage or dip-dye look. 2022 and Beyond To stay abreast of the latest haircut and color trends, follow @lanzahaircare, @leahfreeman1, and @ludovicbeckers for ground-breaking styles that are sure to sweep salons the world over. You saw it here first. Try a fresh look this winter and set trends with L’ANZA. Don’t forget to keep your locks healthy and color long-lasting with L’ANZA naturally-derived products.
