Though Duñe x Crayon’s forthcoming album _Hundred Fifty Roses_ has been delayed until May 22 due to the coronavirus, the musical duo are still committed to providing listeners with the finest tunes, as evidenced by their latest video. In a soothing live session rendition of “The One/Ten Years ,” Duñe x Crayon — backed by a small but mighty team of musicians — seek to create a smooth visual transition between the two tracks. To accomplish this feat, the team carried out a process of “step-printing,” a technique frequented by Hong Kong director Wong Kar-wai that provides an impressionistic blurred aesthetic and a distorted sense of time by repeating shots. “This video project was imagined as the visual translation of a record listening, where two pieces are linked together in continuity \[The One/Ten Years\]. The constraints of the live studio induced a certain way of filming, slow movements and a camera close to the artists, in particular through the use of a short focal length which reinforces the intimate side,” director James Coote said of the live session’s ambitious aesthetic plan. _Hundred Fifty Roses_ is out May 22, 2020 via Roche Musique.
