Taking a minimalist, yet effective approach in her video for ‘Oh Well’, Toronto-based singer-songwriter [ARI](https://www.instagram.com/ariannahicks/) gives a new meaning to ‘less is more’. In the beautifully produced, stripped-down visual for her single, ARI showcases her smooth and sultry vocal prowess, reminiscent of an early Jorja Smith, all while looking effortlessly breathtaking in her vanity mirror. With an ability to pull in a crowd solely with her voice, ARI is the type of artist that will survive and strive through the quarantine-era. “‘Oh Well’ is about a dream I had one night. I woke up in a strange place surrounded by people to find my voice had been forcefully ripped away. There was nothing I could say or do to get people to notice me. After panicking, I became numb to the feeling all at once.”  Marking the first single off her forthcoming EP _IDIOTGRL_, slated for release in early summer, ‘Oh Well’ takes us on a lyrical journey of paranoia and accepting fate as it is. In a world where we are living day-by-day in uncertainty, ‘Oh Well’ couldn’t have come at a more fitting time. Here for your stay-at-home viewing pleasure, check out ARI’s exclusive new music video for ‘Oh Well’. We also asked the young musician suggestions for her quarantine activities: Binge watch any and every show you forgot to catch up on (or in my case) re-watch your favorite shows and movies as that always makes me happy. Try something new! Maybe you don't have to do what i did and dye your hair blue but you can experiment.  Pamper yourself a bit whether that's allowing yourself more rest, self care, maybe letting yourself eat more chocolate than you usually do for a little bit.... Try learning new things to cook and bake while stuck at home. Make sure to facetime your friends and family to stay as connected as possible.
