Last night on a Spring evening, MOTHER co-founders Lela Becker and Tim Kaeding, alongside Tania Fares, brought together a cross-section of the city’s creative community for an intimate cocktail evening alongside Fashion Trust U.S..

Held atop the fire deck at Petit Ermitage, the night unfolded under twinkling lights and open sky, where fashion designers, creative directors, and longtime collaborators moved between conversation and celebration.
Margaritas in hand—courtesy of LALO Tequila—guests leaned into the kind of atmosphere Los Angeles does best: familiar.

Guests included Ava Philippe, Abby Elliott, Abigail Spencer, Ashley Madekwe, Chriselle Lim, Jared Eng, Henry Samuel, Olivia Keegan, Mei Kwok, Tinx, Lauren Perez, Langley Fox, Christy Cham, Peter Dundas, Jacquie Aiche, and Kadi Lee, among others—each contributing to a room defined less by industry and more by shared sensibility.

For MOTHER, the evening was about origin. Since its founding in 2010, the brand has remained deeply rooted in Los Angeles, producing the majority of its collections locally and shaping a distinct identity around California livin’ in the 70’s.
With designs inspired by growing up in California, MOTHER’s vintage-inspired denim rocked the jean scene when black skinny jeans dominated LA. Today, they are expanding across outerwear, sportswear, and accessories.

Founded by Fares, Fashion Trust U.S. continues to operate as both support system and catalyst for emerging American designers, offering grants and strategic mentorships to those navigating the early years of starting a brand. The collaboration is a designer’s dream: the ability to sustain creative ecosystems from the inside out.
