Underneath the warm yellow light of Parisian nights, the remnants of good music and wine spilled out onto the historic Boulevard Saint-Germain, a longtime nursery for creativity and cultural diffusion, as a result of Paris Fashion Week. At Sugaar, a restaurant bridging Basque tradition with French innovation, Donna Karan New York partnered with Mert Alas, this season’s Creative Collaborator for the brand, to host an intimate and entirely French experience in celebration of Paris’ most notable week. In the spirit of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the evening brought talent like Adriana Lima, Honey Dijon, and Sonny Hall together, clad in Donna Karan designs to honor the hostess.

Serving as the headliner for the evening, Carla Bruni performed an acoustic set, introducing her Parisian energy to the aural atmosphere. As a longtime friend to both Alas and Donna Karan New York, Bruni connected the pair’s creative flow to French traditions and spirit. Moving from a downstairs cocktail hour to an elevated dining experience, the night culminated in an afterparty, throughout which, Parisian DJ Ines Supra set the tone, leading the crowd through electronic and disco sounds. With French musicians at the helm, the night connected international creatives with distinctly Parisian inspirations, continuing the city’s legacy as an artistic capital.
