Spanning a massive volume of 1.335 billion cubic kilometers, Earth’s oceans make up roughly 97% of all the water on the planet. Yet despite its vastness and abundance, direct human observation and visual exploration of the deep ocean is less than 0.001%, making the ocean one of life’s greatest mysteries. With this sense of curiosity for what lies below Earth’s waters in mind, Tiffany & Co. unveiled its fall expression of its annual high jewelry showcase, titled Blue Book 2025: Sea of Wonder, featuring 40 exclusive designs from Nathalie Verdeille, the chief artistic officer of jewelry and high jewelry at the specialty design house.
Reinterpreting archival creations from Jean Schlumberger—one of Tiffany & Co.’s most legacy jewelry designers known for his exquisite craftsmanship that captured the energy and essence of Earth’s natural forms—Blue Book 2025: Sea of Wonder revives Schlumberg’s aquatic designs by honoring the sea’s organic appearance and continuous, dreamlike beauty. Pieced into ten various chapter—Anemone, Anchor, Shell, Mermaid, Seahorse, Sea Turtle, Ocean Flora, Starfish, Urchin and Wave—the collection explores some of the ocean’s most untold mysteries by weaving together elegant artistry with poetic storytelling.
“This collection represents the very foundations of our house: inventive design, expert craftsmanship and of course, gemstones of extreme rarity,” Verdeille says on her artistic expression behind the showcase. “Each piece in our latest Blue Book collection captivates and invites us to lose ourselves in the rich storytelling as we embark on a journey through uncharted realms of the sea … it is a poetic expression of transformation, where the sea’s beauty is beautifully reimagined in modern masterpieces.”
Employing some of the world’s finest diamonds, as well as exceptionally colored gemstones, Tiffany’s latest collection encapsulates these oceanic treasures, from figurative to abstract as it melds the natural and the surreal. Pieces include a stunning array of necklaces, brooches, earrings, pendants, rings and bracelets—all of which celebrate the unmapped, infatuation humans have with the sea and the vibrant ecosystem as it currently remains.
The collection is available in-person now by appointment only.
