In a reflection on time, and the necessary elements of living where fast-pacedness is the standard, there is an expectation of meeting at the crossroads of performance, between style and functionality. With the anticipation of the illustrious 38th America’s Cup looming, in partnership with the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli sailing team, Panerai will unveil new additions to its Luminor Luna Rossa Collection, models titled the  40mm Luminor Rossa GMT PAM01791, as well as the 44mm Luminor Luna Rossa Chrono PAM01768, the first model in the collection to be offered on a velcro strap.

With the America’s Cup making its home in Naples, Italy, for the first time in the event's history, the collection aims to recognize the brand's roots in Italian heritage, and its seven-year collaboration with the team.  Development of designs for Panerai has always been about functional design overlaid by its nautical avail. Meant to invoke a usefulness for the everyday, while not pulling back on the elements of the instruments that make the watch durable for challenging conditions, an ode to the new models' sailing genesis.

One of the new additions to the collection, titled the Luminor Luna Rossa ChronoPAM01768, combines the functional ability of the Panerai design with the team's visual identity. The model is specifically built with the technical aspects of sailing in mind, with a brushed steel case and a polished bezel, as the tachymeter featured on the watch model through the scale on the rehault that allows sailors to calculate their boat’s average speed over a certain distance.
