In a partnership that brings together streetwear and German-born craftsmanship, the MCM x SNIPES “Make it Miami” collection dropped last week with an exclusive launch event in South Beach, Miami. The event took place at the We The Best x SNIPES store with DJ Khaled hosting and plenty of celebrity guests partaking in the celebration of Miami’s vibrant culture.
Designed to embody the electrifying energy of the 305, the collection features apparel, leather goods, and accessories with statement graphics, modern fits, and oversized silhouettes that reflect the carefree, youthful vibe of the Magic City and its locals. Each piece transports the wearer into the energy of the dynamic Florida coast with its color palette featuring bold turquoise and pink designs against classic blacks and whites, meshing together the freshness of SNIPES’ streetwear with the refinement of MCM.
The event brought together Sung-Joo Kim, owner and chairwoman of MCM, and Dennis Schröder, CEO of SNIPES, to celebrate the fusion of two distinct brands with deep roots in their streetwear and luxury identities. Other notable attendees included Swae Lee, Lisa Hochstein, Capo Plaza, Dominic Shaw, Kayo Martin, Jacquelyn Puma, and many others.
The collaboration couldn’t be more unexpected: SNIPES’ brand identity leans toward youth and swagger while MCM embodies high-class traditional luxury, but both brands share a commitment to self-expression and creativity that is undeniably present in this collection.
Perhaps the most standout pieces from the collection, the leather bags push the boundaries of high-end fashion through the fusion of streetwear aesthetics with luxury craftsmanship. MCM and SNIPES have created two distinct leather lines for the bags: black nylon with leather accents, exclusively sold by SNIPES, and elegant white leather featuring the iconic Visetos monogram canvas, only available from MCM. Both lines, separately sold by each partner, reflect the brands’ identities whilst maintaining the thread of Miami throughout the collection.
All of the pieces from the collection are available online, with limited quantities available in select SNIPES and MCM stores across Europe and the US.
