Since opening its doors last summer, Romer House Waikīkī has become the main attraction. Located centrally in the Kuhio neighborhood only steps from the beach, neighborhood clubhouse is the first adults only boutique hotel on Oahu.

Romer House hosted its inaugural House of Aloha party this fall, bringing together local and international tastemakers to celebrate its success. The weekend included an invitation-only dinner, supported by Jason Momoa's Meili Vodka and Mananalu Empowered by Boomerang Water. There were outstanding performances from Lilo & Stitch’s Sydney Agudong, Moana 2 actor and musician Hualālai Chung and award-winning artists Thomas Iannucci and Tavana. The guest list comprised stars like Mana Up Hawaii Co-Founder Meli James and Professional Surfers Megan Godinez and Makoa Ho.

Guests gathered in The Backyard, the hotel’s private pool oasis, to enjoy a family-style Hawaiian BBQ dinner from 855-Aloha and Chef Brad Dodson. What makes Romer House Waikīkī special is its deep connection to the community. Guests are encouraged to use their room key, known as the Key to the Neighborhood, at a number of local restaurants and establishments, for discounts and special access. The House of Aloha party was no exception. Megan Godinez brought her hand-caught fish to the table, and collector leis from Small Kine Gifts were given out. Diamond Head Market & Grill brought guava shaved ice to the afterparty where cocktails from The Lei Stand, the hotel’s speakeasy bar, were poured.

The Romer House Waikīkī is more than a place to stay. It’s a genuine clubhouse, a neighborhood and cultural gathering place for locals and travelers alike. For the first of what is sure to be many times, the House of Aloha Event brought the community together to enjoy Hawaii's culture, artistry and hospitality.
